Simmons Genuine 8842 Plunger With Stainless Steel Threads

The 8842 plunger is designed for the Simmons hydrant models 800, 4800, and 5800. The plunger will consist of a rubber outer body, and internal stainless steel threads. The plunger threads onto the bottom of the pump rod. The plunger will seat into the valve body that is located underground, and create a watertight seal preventing any water from leaking out of the hydrant. If your hydrant is leaking out of the spout, then the plunger may need to be replaced.
