Simmons Genuine 8839 Packing O-Rings

The 8839 will include 3 packing O-rings. The O-rings are designed for the Simmons hydrant models 800, and 4800, but as long as the hydrant says Simmons USA in the head this O-ring kit will work for it. When installed they will be located directly below the packing nut. They will prevent any leaks coming from around the extension rod, and bottom of the packing nut. If a leak does develop from this location it can usually be fixed by tightening the packing nut down, or by replacing the O-rings. Some hydrant may only use 2 O-rings.
