Simmons Genuine 8837 Square Head Set Screw

The 8837 set screw is often referred to as the adjustment screw. This is the small screw that threads into the side of the pivot connector on Simmons hydrant models 800, 4800, and 5800. This screw is used to adjust the depth of the plunger. If the plunger is out of adjustment you could have a leak from the spout of the hydrant, or a leak underground.
