The Simmons 8834 coupling is designed to connect the extension rod to the long pump rod that goes down into the ground. The coupling will be located below the hydrant head. It measures approximately 1 inch in length, with a diameter of 7/16. It is a standard right hand thread on each end of the coupling. This coupling is also made completely out of metal.
