The 8828 brass hose adapter is designed for the Simmons model 800 yard hydrants. It will adapt the internal female thread of the hydrant spout to an external standard hose thread connection. This piece is made completely out of brass, and has two sets of threads. It will also have a hexed portion in the middle of the adapter to make it easier to install, or remove. The smaller threaded portion is the part that threads into the head casting.
