The Simmons 8821 is made out of a blue painted cast iron. This is the handle for the Simmons yard hydrant model 800. This is just the handle. It will not include the bolt, or nut to attach the handle to the hydrant head. The 8821 handle will have 3 grooves, or indentations in it that are used for a comfortable grip point to turn the hydrant on and off.
